The Wild Olive “Old Vines” Chenin Blanc 2013

Silver Medal Winner - Michelangelo International Wine Awards 2013
Silver Medal Winner - Veritas Wine Awards 2013

An exciting project to produce an elegant, full bodied, unwooded Chenin Blanc from two 28-year-old Chenin goblets in the Swartland came to fruition with the release of our 2011 Wild Olive Chenin Blanc.  These vineyards have faithfully delivered superior Chenin grapes, every single year for the last 3 decades and have now been given a chance to show their class on their own and not as part of a greater blend. The 2013 vintages has proven to be our best yet as the "Old Vines" Chenin continues to grow its footprint and reputation.

Tasting Notes

A refined and well-balanced Chenin Blanc with notes of gooseberry, green apple and guava. The finish is long and shows an elegant minerality. Enjoy by the glass, or pair with light fare such as fish, shellfish, white meats and salads. Click here to view full tasting note.
